I first saw Boomer at the 2008 BMDCA National Specialty (the first of my OMG Moments!)  in the 9-12 month old Puppy Class where he placed 4th from a big lineup. Seeing so many lovely dogs in one day was mind boggling but Lindsay & I both agreed he was the most memorable dog of the day for us both! Later we watched his sire Killian in his class, and several stunning Skylyn bitches and decided we really should try to  'casually' bump into his breeder Christine McLean as soon as the opportunity presented itself!

As luck would have it, the very next morning we headed over to the service station across the road from the hotel to get coffee and saw Christine walking one of her girls on the hotel lawns. Feeling like bumbling stalkers, we introduced ourselves and asked if we could meet up with her to see her other dogs a bit later! Chris said "sure thing...if you bring me a coffee back with you!"

After the end of BOB judging we tracked Chris down and pawed over Boomer and lovely squidgey Killian. Both such sweet and super typey, chunky boys! It was love at first cuddle! After the Specialty and back home in NZ I emailed Chris to ask if she would sell him to me and not surprisingly she said no!  Fast forward to 2010 and the stalker-like perseverance paid off when she finally agreed to let him come to NZ!  

Boomer settled in at home like a champ & very kindly finished his NZCH before the wilds of winter were upon us so we can sit back and enjoy ourselves at home until the weather improves!

Boomer is the ultimate gentleman Berner. His character is very calm, serious and noble! Even a bitch in season is met with a cool calm! He attached to me very quickly and is already one of my most devoted and beloved boys! Boomer is not available at stud.
